League leaders Accrington had an exciting 3 wicket win at Burnley off the penultimate ball. Home skipper Peter Brown top scored with 62 with good support from professional Mudasser Nazar (34), Leighton James (26) and Terry Little (24) in Burnley's 180-7. Ian Birtwistle took 4-55 and professional Robert Haynes 3-95 in 24 overs for the visitors. Mudasser then removed openers Nick Marsh (8) and Andy Barker (0) but Haynes (23) and Billy Rawstron (62) led a recovery which the Pakistani wrecked with another 3 wickets to finish with 5-61 before Accrington skipper David Lloyd (32 not out) and Trevor Hatch (24) put the match back within the visitors reach.
